Thanks for being our eyes and ears for this remarkable event to honor the Americans who died on the USS Oklahoma on December 7, 1941.

You are most welcome. Hopefully the learning and sharing is just beginning. I've just completed a major reorganization of pages on the site, and added a lot of links to videos now available from NewsOK and OETA. I still have quite a bit of audio and video to edit, upload and share. Thanks for YOUR participation, it will be great to get even more students, teachers, and learners of all ages involved in our project in 2008!

Please help me identify music that was popular in December 1941. I'm especially interested to learn what young people were listening to when Pearl Harbor was attacked.

The link to sign up for the videoconference does not work. Does anyone have a number so I can contact someone?

As part of your Thanksgiving celebrations with family take time to ask about their military experiences, particularly about those of veterans for WWII. If you have a cell phone you can record their stories and share them with others through a variety of digital storytelling sites and you can share them with the Oklahoma WWII story collection project at www.oklahomawwii.org.

Liz Kolb has a great blog on this topic as well, and a great presentation she shared for the K-12 Online Conference about using cell phones for digital storytelling:

I reviewed the radio broadcast timeline of Dec. 7 and 8, 1941 on the Authentic History website and wondered if someone has developed a similar timeline of Sept. 11 and 12, 2001?
To see the timeline go to http://www.authentichistory.com/ww2/news/19411207-8.html.

I found this link to "man on the street" radio interviews following the attack on Pearl Harbor which look great. They are part of the Library of Congress' American Memory project:

I really like the Posters and Blog features on the OK WWII Stories website. Are there any posters for the Iraq War? What are the best blogs for the Iraq War?

There are a LOT of "mil-bloggers" in both the Iraqi and Afaghanistan theaters, as well as other places. My mom is an avid reader of mil-blogs and I did a podcast interview with her a few months ago. The link to her interview about mil-bloggers (and other blogs she reads regularly) also includes links to many of her favorite mil-bloggers, many of whom are still in theater in or near Iraq or have been recently. That link is:
