Welcome to the Oklahoma World War II wiki!

R.D. Ivie on leave -1944This wiki seeks to promote awareness of the diverse and rich array of resources available to learners of all ages to hear the stories and learn about the sacrifices of Oklahomans who served in World War II. The OKWWII wiki supports the goal of empowering Oklahoma students and teachers to become local oral history archivists by recording and sharing their own digital stories about veteran experiences. These stories are being collected through the Oklahoma Digital Centennial Project and through the Share a Story page on a special Oklahoma WWII website.

This wiki is our central meeting place to share stories and pictures about WWII and especially about the dedication of the U.S.S. Oklahoma Memorial at Pearl Harbor.

(Don't forget to use the Navigation Bar to the left to move around this wiki. There are webquests, lessons, and resources galore. Need to know more about wikis? Watch the short video "Wikis in Plain English" available here, here, or here.)
