Background
The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 destroyed 21 ships. Battleships were named for states including one for Oklahoma.

Activity
(1) Create a graphic organizer that identifies all 21 ships. Include a photo and background information about each of the ships destroyed that day. Attach your graphic organizer to this wiki.

(2) Create a photo story featuring the memorials to the ships destroyed at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. Add your photo story to this wiki.

(3) Research the duties of five different sailors on the USS Oklahoma in 1941. Compare their duties to those of five sailors on the USS Hopper or USS Port Royal that recently deployed to the Persian Gulf from Pearl Harbor. Create a podcast that describes the changes in duties. Post your podcast to this wiki.

(4) Create an interactive map that locates each of the ships moored at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.
