News professionals (reporters and photographers) have played a major role in reporting America at war. Take a look at this PBS site that reviews the role of the media in reporting wars. Oklahoma's PBS affiliate OETA will send a crew to the December 7, 2007 dedication of the U.S.S. Oklahoma Memorial at Pearl Harbor. The Department of the Navy has a site about the raid on Pearl Harbor that you can use as you review what happened to the U.S.S. Oklahoma on December 7, 1941. Check out the site here.
